I have to admit, this was one of the oddest thinks I've ever seen in Italy, known for its oddities. Apparently, the Capuchin monks fled to Rome from Paris during the French Revolution and these weird chandeliers and patterns of bones were similar to what was done with bones in the catacombs of Paris. This is in the church of the Immaculate Conception near Piazza Barbarini.
